ComicsTech: Solved My CSP Question
Turns out I had brushes set to "millimetres" rather than "pixels". That was my mistake.
Anyway, problem solved now. My apologies for taking so long to post an update about that!

In case you thought I'd forgotten I have this blog...forget that idea.
Lest you be deemed even more foolish than this bird here...

From Lee Barnett: You'll Never Believe a Man Can Fly
What if the first super-hero in the world was a British ad man?
What if that first super-hero got his origin by way of an experiment gone wrong via courier service mishap?
What if that first super-hero had his attempt to formally go public messed up by a news service's infamous penchant for spelling and grammar mistakes?
Lee Barnett's got a recently-revised theory to entertain you with. He's been serializing it for the past few days, and it'll continue for a few weeks yet: You'll Never Believe a Man Can Fly. He explains some of what's in the works here. You may want to follow along, or purchase an e-book edition as offered at his end of things.
Oh, and one of the illustrations accompanying the text is one of mine.
You might be interested.

Temporary Substitution
Since my Livejournal's down for what the management's calling "emergency maintenance" - I'm wondering if it's not more dissident-suppression aimed at many of the Russophones in Russia and neighbouring countries, and would be glad of additional info from all credible sources - I'm going to post from here for now.
As a reward for the loyalists who keep dropping in here, here's a rough sketch I've been fiddling with. I may replace it with something better in the days ahead.
And if Disney/Marvel asks me to take it down, I will. Seems fair enough.

Ottawa Small Press Book Fair
Here we go...one more time!
I'll be back at Rob McLennan's latest instalment of the Ottawa Small Press Book Fair this Saturday.
I've got a list of what I'll be selling here at my Livejournal, if you're interested. Hoping to see lots of friendly faces on Saturday!

Been fiddling with any number of things over the last few weeks:
More as I think of it...
- Training in Illustrator and Photoshop, check.
- Indesign, not so much. I want to do something useful about that between now and next posting.
- Manga Studio, check. Managed to do a demo session at the ByMUG meeting yesterday, to boot. I could've managed the computer-projector interface settings better, mind you...
- Celestia, check. Astronomy software is a good thing for a guy working on space opera projects to have as a general rule. Whether you're writing or illustrating, that's a good rule to heed.

One small lesson
Learned the hard way.
Never use Deleter colour pens on Peter Pauper Press sketchbooks. Sure, the results look cool. But the ink goes right through the page. (Certain other brands of brush pen marker, too, while I'm at it.)
Prismacolor Premier fine line markers, though? That's another, happier story.
I still like the sketchbooks. I just need thicker paper for some types of pen.
